Star Trek: The Original Series ended rather… well, it just ended, unceremoniously and unplanned with the episode "Turnabout Intruder."

Star Trek: The Next Generation had a plan, brilliantly executed in a two-part episode that ranks up there with the very best of the series — if not all of Star Trek. The plot involved Picard mind-jumping through time into the past and future, trying to solve the mystery of a space anomaly that seems to be growing backwards.

The movie-length finale managed to bundle together a thrilling puzzle in the present day along with a nostalgic look at the crew's beginning and a glimpse into their emotional reunion.

With Star Trek: Picard arriving soon, the TNG finale looks to take on even greater importance. After all, it shows Picard in a future that will have to be dealt with continuity-wise.

In other words, it's worth knowing how TNG ended. So let's see how well you remember this classic episode.
  1. In the opening scene, Troi and Worf are exiting the holodeck. Where have they just been "visiting"?
  2. How far into the future does Picard jump?
  3. Where has Picard retired in the future?
  4. We find out that Picard married which Enterprise crew member in the future?
  5. What is the title of the TNG finale?
  6. Does Geordi wear his trademark visor in the future?
  7. Which adversary is responsible for sending Picard through time?
  8. Where is the anomaly located?
  9. Who is helming the Enterprise in the future?
  10. What is Riker's rank in the future?
  11. What disease does Picard have?
  12. In the present, Picard keeps asking people the stardate. What is the stardate?
  13. Beverly captains this ship in the future, named for a famous 19th-century scientist. What is it called?
  14. What is the last thing that Q says to Picard?
  15. In the final scene, Picard at last joins his crew in what activity?
