Bring in the summer with Black Sheep Squadron as it joins H&I's Day Shift on Tuesdays starting June 24

This is not a drill! Major Greg "Pappy" Boyington and his guys are joining H&I's Day Shift (aka Summer Shift) on Tuesday, June 24, starting at 12P | 11C. Like other crews on the Day Shift, Black Sheep Squadron is full of action, and the crew knows how to have fun when not flying missions. From Pappy stopping altercations between the pilots at the base and getting into fights, your Tuesdays just got a whole lot better.
Created by Stephen J. Cannell, the series premiered on NBC from September 23, 1976, to April 6, 1978. It follows the commanding officer of VMF-214 (Pappy), a Marine squadron of "misfit" fighter pilots based on the Solomon Islands and Bougainville campaigns from 1943 to 1945 during World War II.
Robert Conrad fought for another season of Black Sheep Squadron, and the beloved military drama turned into a classic, which is why it's the perfect Day Shift addition.

The actor tried to play Pappy as he was in real life. During an interview with the Associated Press in 1977, he said, "I try to play Pappy as he was. But there is so much similarity between our personalities...Boyington's talent was that he happened to be one of the finest pilots that ever lived."
